Efficient and friendly visa process
NZ has a very efficient and friendly visa system because New Zealand is a
popular tourist, international educational and working holiday destination for
people from all around the world.
New Zealand's immigration laws prevent an international student from studying at
a private provider that has not been registered, or from taking a course that is
not NZQA approved. Queens Academic Group is NZQA registered and approved, so you
can be assured you will receive a quality education.
If you are not in New Zealand you need to apply to the nearest NZ Embassy for
the documents and application. Your country may have a special relationship with
NZ and so there may be a special scheme under which you may apply.
If you plan to enrol for longer than 12 weeks you need to enrol in the school
before you can apply for a Student Permit. This process can be explained to you
by Immigration NZ.
If you are already in New Zealand you can apply for your student permit at the
school. The marketing staff will explain this process.
What kind of visa do I need?
If you are not a New Zealand resident and not in New Zealand, you will have to
apply to the Immigration Service (NZIS) at the NZ Embassy for a student visa. if
you gain a student visa/permit you will have to attend school fulltime once in
New Zealand.
What is the Visa process?
If you are not in New Zealand you can have an agent to help you apply for a visa
or you can do this by yourself. The process is as follows:
- Once the school has processed your application form we will send you an
'Offer of Place' and fees invoice. When you have paid we will issue you a fees
receipt.
- You will next have to fill out a student visa application and send it to the
nearest international branch of the New Zealand Immigration Service along with
your 'Offer of Place' and fees receipt. We can tell you where the nearest branch
is.
- After the New Zealand Immigration Service has approved your visa application
you can come to New Zealand to commence your studies. Of course, you will have
to notify us when you will arrive so we can pick you up from the airport.
When you arrive at the school, the New Zealand government requires us to check
your visa. You MUST have visa/permit for the whole period of your course.
