Details

Queens Academic Group offers six levels of General English which, in common with all our courses, are designed on a modular framework based on principles of communicative competence and taught using a task-based methodology.

Our levels are classified as follows:

  • General English 1 (Beginner)
  • General English 2 (Elementary)
  • General English 3 (Pre-Intermediate)
  • General English 4 (Intermediate)
  • General English 5 (Upper Intermediate)
  • General English 6 (Advanced)

The design of our General English curriculum develops all the language skills necessary to communicate and function socially in an English-speaking environment.

While the primacy of listening and speaking activities is guaranteed in our classrooms, we remain aware that reading is the route by which many students will acquire a wider vocabulary which will in turn increase their listening ability. Writing, on the other hand, is the crucial path by which students assimilate, and have time to practice/produce accurately, an ever-increasing range of linguistic elements such as grammar, new vocabulary and idioms.

At all levels, our experienced and well-qualified team of enthusiastic teachers aim to make learning both fun and instructive, remaining aware of the importance of maximizing collaborative and communicative opportunities in the classroom to make learning experiences as close to the needs and demands of real-life as possible.
