About the Programme

The IT is sector is growing significantly throughout the world, and the high need for trained and knowledgeable staff is a significant challenge for this industry. Especially for SMEs who find recruiting staff with skills in IT as well as business processes extremely difficult.

This unique programme combines business with IT, and enables graduates to function within a business environment with the added expertise of being able to provide IT support to their workplace.

A first qualification in a series of 3, the National Diploma in Computing L5, will provide students with an introductory level of understanding about computer industry contexts, including: user support, personal computer repair and networking.

In addition to the IT content, the student will learn project planning and control, principles of business, and business management.

This programme is approved and accredited by NZQA.

Entry Criteria

  • All applicants will be interviewed
  • IELTS score 5.5 or equivalent (International students only)
  • Basic skills and knowledge in personal computer systems and applications.
