Living costs

An estimate of living costs in Auckland

The cost of living in New Zealand is relatively cheap compared to other countries, as our dollar is weak against other currencies (i.e. one New Zealand dollar is equivalent to 0.40 Great British Pounds or 0.60 Euro). Food is relatively cheap, for example a litre of milk is $2, can of coke $1.50, bread $2.50, and butter $2.

You can use our table to estimate your living expenses while you are studying at Queens. Actual costs will depend on your lifestyle. For example you may spend more on entertainment and travel.
