We can offer you advice and assistance in searching for a job while you are studying! This applies only to international students who have the right to work while in New Zealand. This is clearly stated on your visa/permit.
Work while you study
If you enrol in a Diploma course or an English language course (where you have an IELTS score of at least 5.0) of 1 year duration or more, you will be eligible to work for up to 20 hours a week during term time and full-time over the summer holiday period.
Upon completion of a Queens Diploma course (formally recognised by the New Zealand immigration service), you will be eligible for a six-month Graduate Work Permit. This allows you to seek employment in NZ. Once offered employment you can apply for a full work permit by your prospective employer.
Working holidays
If you are from Korea, Japan, the UK, Ireland, Germany, the USA, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hong Kong, Malaysia or Singapore, then you can apply for a NZ working holiday visa and permits online.
